Conversational changes
Refine dimensions, features and design intent through clear follow-up instructions.
Coming soon · In development
Prompt2Part is developing an AI-assisted workflow intended to turn a clear, natural-language part description into a manufacturable 3D model.
From description to geometry
CAD is precise, but getting started can be a barrier when an idea exists as dimensions, requirements or a sketch rather than a finished model. The AI CAD Assistant is being explored as a guided way to express that intent, clarify the specification and build toward usable geometry.
Development status
This capability is not currently available and has not been released or validated for production use. The workflow and supported features may change during development.
Concept workflow
Describe the part
“Create a 100 mm × 60 mm mounting plate with four M5 mounting holes and a centered 25 mm opening.”
Overall size
100 × 60 mm
Mounting pattern
4 × M5 holes
Centre feature
Ø 25 mm opening
Next question
Plate thickness?
A future assistant could identify missing information before geometry is generated.
Proposed experience
Explain the part, its dimensions and what it needs to do using natural language.
Review the interpreted requirements and discuss changes through a guided conversation.
Create CAD geometry for validation and eventual export to a manufacturing workflow.
Future direction
The long-term concept brings conversational input and engineering structure together without removing the need for review, testing and sound design judgment.
Refine dimensions, features and design intent through clear follow-up instructions.
Define measurements, hole locations and functional constraints in practical engineering terms.
Translate an approved description into editable 3D geometry for further review and refinement.
Prepare geometry for export to common formats used in prototyping and manufacturing workflows.
Manufacturing available today
Prompt2Part currently provides rapid prototyping and small-batch manufacturing from customer-supplied STL files.
